Happy 25th Birthday Christine,

For one you still look like a beautiful teenager, which believe me someday will really pay off.

You have been a Smith for 5+ years now and in a way it seems like forever which is a peek at things to come.  How grateful I am that Harrison found the perfect girl for him and for our whole family.
I so loved coming to stay with you and the boys last month. It was such a perfect time to get to bond as mother in law and daughter and even made me  more grateful seeing the real person you are, that you are ours.

I am so sorry that you will be alone for this birthday.  I try to think that we that in common with our husbands being gone so much of our marriage but the short 5+ years you and Harri have been married you  have already been apart  as much as we were in our whole 20 yrs of military service, well, at least the long stints anyway.   I know its hard but someday it will be over and the blessings of spending everyday together is so worth the wait.  Hang in there dear girl.  I know what your going through, I sympathize, I am here for you, and the best advice I can give you is to rely on the Lord with your whole heart and He will wrap His Arms of Mercy around you when you need it most.  I know because I have felt them.

I wish we have lived closer to you over the years and hopefully we will someday.  It just makes me cherish the few memories we do have like...
Your Dad being our home teacher when you and Harri got engaged and we thought he was going way over and beyond providing a bride for our return missionary.
Your beautiful wedding and the fun fortune cookies.
Visits from Provo to Henderson.
Family reunion at the cabin in the woods.
Late night talks after the boys went to bed.
And there are many more beautiful memories to come.  I can't wait.  I love you dear Christine
