Happy Twenty-Five!!

Dear Christine,

You know, whenever anyone talks about their ideal life, they talk about age twenty five. If they're in good shape, they say they feel like they're twenty five again....if they are wishing for less wrinkles, they say they want to look twenty five again....and if they have no interest in revealing their age on a birthday, they just say they're turning twenty five again.

I've taken this to mean that twenty five is the best age ever! Hopefully it's not all downhill from here :)  But seriously, this is the age that everyone covets and wishes they could come back to, and I think it means that it's the year you will look your best, feel your best, and be your very best! And then hopefully it will set the precedent for the rest of your many years!

Christine, I feel so blessed to know an amazing woman like you! I'm so grateful I met you at that horrible, terrible, no good place of work (kidding...kind of!), and I have such happy memories of our secret friendship and whispered conversations.

And then I loved our close relationship over the following years as you had Jack and I had Benson, and our attempts at being runners and not getting attacked on the Provo river walkway (yikes!), and then staying in contact as you moved out of the state.

I know I haven't been the best at staying in touch regularly, but I think about you all the time and am so grateful for your example of a strong woman and mother! I hope you have a happy, happy birthday and the best year of your life so far! I'm sure twenty five is gonna look reeeeeal good on you :)

Love, Merrick

p.s. It's majorly unfortunate that these are the only pictures I have of the two of us...it appears that twenty-two wasn't my best looking age :)
